Just the name of this cake tells me it is definitely not on my diet! I made this about three weeks ago and it was delicious. I'll have to just imagine it today and have a yummy, imaginary non-caloric piece for my dear friend, Dorothy Love, to celebrate her birthday today! Happy birthday, Dorothy!

Butter Cake

2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
5 eggs
1 cup water
1 tsp. baking powder in 3 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend sugar and butter; add eggs and mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Bake in Bundt pan. Delicious iced or not.

Banana icing:

1 banana, mashed
¾ stick butter, melted
1 ½ to 2 cup powdered sugar
Juice of ½ lemon, strained

Blend banana, butter and lemon juice. Whip in enough sifted sugar for consistency to spread.
