Welcome!

I'm so glad you're here! This week (and also in coming weeks), I’ll be giving away prizes to celebrate my new website and the upcoming release of my book, Elvis Takes a Back Seat. So, of course, you’ll notice a few Elvis flavors throughout the website in honor of the king.

The first Elvis song I ever remember hearing was Hound Dog. But I think I fell in love with Elvis when he sang Teddy Bear, Love Me Tender and Crying in a Chapel. Today’s quiz: what’s your favorite Elvis song?

There is no correct answer for this one. Just chime in! I’ll draw one name from those who post a comment. Maybe you’ll be the one to win a cd of Elvis’ Number One Hits!

Love the cover. When I was a kid, my father had that car with the rocket fins. They kept getting stolen from our car when it was in the garage because they made the car so long you couldn't close the garage door.

Oh ... this is such a tough question. There are so many I love. I'll have to say, one of my absolute faves is HARD HEADED WOMAN. Cracks me up everytime I hear it. I'm a *huge* Elvis fan.

Great website, and as you know, Tim and I can't wait for the book (and the MOVIE!).
Favorite Elvis song: Jailhouse Rock (mainly because of the groovy dance scene with the chairs).

Oh, my, it's between "I Want You I Need You I Love You" and "I Was the One." I play (at) them both on the piano. Love the catchy lines--"I was the one who taught her to kiss the way that she kisses you now...and who learned a lesson when she broke my heart? I Was the One!" Great website, Leanna! I fell in love with that smile when I was nine years old. Mamas, watch your daughters!

The best Elvis song is "Can't Help Falling in Love". I've seen my grandparents dance to it many times which is one of my favorite memories. Great website and looking forward to the release of your book.

Hi, all! Can you see me waving? :) Love all the songs you're mentioning. I had such fun searching for song titles to use as chapter titles in my book.

Mir, my heroine feels a lot like you. Elvis, well, the Elvis bust, is like a thorn in her side. Still, I hope you'll like my book. I'll post an excerpt closer to publication. So keep checking back.

I never really liked Elvis until I started researching his songs to use on in a book. :) And I ended up having a ball listening to them. I ended up ordering some CD's.

Favorite.... Hmm. I guess Can't Help Falling in Love with You.
